Ozlem Edizel is invited to give a guest lecture on Cultural Ecosystems Mapping based on the findings from Hydrocitizenship Project to BU Cities and Analytics module students. The lecture was followed by QGIS practice workshop.

2016
- Utopia and Connected Communities AHRC CC 2016 (GE), British Library, 7 December 2016
Graeme presented at this one day conference on the theme of ‘Re-Use of Cultural Heritage’ based on the AHRC Festival award he received for work on civic and industrial heritage spaces. For conference programme please click here.
This included a 10 day exhibition event with BA Interior Architecture and MA Polimi student’s and staff at Hornsey Town Hall, held during the London Festival of Architecture in June, and workshop/engagement events organised at the Three Mills in Bow, East London. The latter formed part of the ongoing 3-year AHRC Hydrocitizenship project and the Active Energy water wheel installation planned for this site by Dr Loraine Leeson and The Geezers. Prof Graeme Evans showcased work arising from our AHRC Towards Hydrocitizenship research project at the Museum of London Docklands as part of the planning a for a major exhibition in June 2017 on the theme of City Now, City Future. More information here.

Simon Read, Ozlem Edizel, Graeme Evans and Johanne Orchard-Webb presented at the American Association of Geographers (AAG) annual conference in San Francisco, 29 Mach - 2 April, where they will be coordinating two sessions on Hydrocitizenship, the AHRC project on which they have been working for the past 2 years.
Graeme convened the sessions with presenters on a range of arts and socially engaged practice in the UK and internationally, including initial research findings arising from the Hydrocitizenship project with case studies from the Lee Valley, Shipley/Leeds, Brighton and Scotland.

Graeme Evans presented at two invited sessions at RGS2015: Creative Place-Making: Challenging the Masterplan through Co-Design & Co-Production, and Waste Narratives of the Athropocene, developing models of arts-informed citizen science. Working with Amsterdam-based artist Irene Janze (Buro Jan-ZE) and Dr Alex Plows from Bangor University they have formed a network of artists, natural and social scientists and small innovative industrial companies which have recently bid for AHRC Research Network funding.
